Welcome to Root, Flow & Restore. My name is Sara and I’m a yoga teacher and doula based in London. I’m really excited to share my love for yoga and the benefits of this ancient practice with you not only on my website and blog, but also on the mat.
I discovered yoga in 2008 during a volunteer trip to India. I remember feeling a sense of serenity and inner peace at the end of class. I thought it had to do with the magic of being in India, but once I started practicing regularly I realised it was part of what yoga gives you.
My passion for the practice led me to my 200-Hour Hatha Yoga Teacher Training in 2013 while living in Los Angeles. During that time I also practiced Iyengar Yoga, to work on body alignment, and Kundalini Yoga at The Golden Bridge.
After moving to London and having my daughter in 2015, I decided to do the Pregnancy Yoga Teacher Training with Uma Dinsmore-Tuli, a nurturing practice I’m truly passionate about. Following the path of motherhood, I did the Birthlight Baby Yoga Training, which promotes a holistic approach to baby care, and the Postnatal Yoga Training with Nadia Narain to complement my Mum & Baby classes. Additionally, I offer my services as a Birth and Postnatal Doula to support you through pregnancy, birth and the early weeks with your newborn baby.
In 2016 I went to India to do my 300-Hour Vinyasa Flow Teacher Training, where I had the opportunity to explore yoga philosophy and deepen my meditation and pranayama practices with a wonderful spiritual guide.
I’m also a certified Restorative Yoga teacher, a deeply nourishing and relaxing practice.
As a teacher, I encourage my students to listen to their bodies and find balance through conscious breathing. My classes not only help you ease any physical discomforts as you strengthen your body, but also offer a safe space to quiet your mind and connect to yourself. My hope is that you leave class feeling inspired and relaxed.
